Happy June! It feels as though most of the world is changing and opening up in a lot of ways. That’s certainly the case on the farm as seeds have been sprouting, and plants emerging. You can almost feel the buzz around the gardens with life popping up all around. That buzz could also just be the bees happy in their flowers.

The bees aren’t the only busy ones around here! The work is never done, but it feels good to be able to start reaping the rewards of the planning and planting in the early months of spring. Everything is so beautiful too, from the deep-hued heads of lettuce, to the bright pink radishes popping, to the flowers that blossom on the peas right before the pods appear.

Each week brings something new to harvest. Right now we have a variety of lettuces, spring onions, snap peas, radishes, and broccoli. In the coming weeks we will be harvesting cabbage, kohlrabi and carrots.

We are excited to now offer produce and eggs directly from the farmstead for delivery. Stay tuned as the season progresses and the list gets much longer. Here’s to a summer filled with great food!
